When you submit a quote request through Citadel, we coordinate with FMCSA-licensed transportation brokers in our partner network to secure the right enclosed carrier for your specific vehicle and lane. You get one quote from one specialist who manages the booking through delivery — instead of a dozen calls from random brokers in the next 48 hours.

We pre-qualify the brokers in our network for collector-vehicle expertise, equipment quality, insurance levels, and service track record. We don't resell your contact information across the wider broker market, and we don't use loss-leader pricing to capture leads.

Why this model exists

The auto transport industry has a well-documented credibility problem. The largest consumer-facing operators run as lead-generation businesses — capturing your contact information through low-ball quotes, reselling it to dozens of brokers simultaneously, then leaving you to navigate which one actually delivers. By the time your vehicle is on a trailer, you've been called by five companies you didn't ask to hear from.

Citadel exists for the buyer who wants a single point of contact, transparent pricing, and a specialist who knows how to handle a $300,000 exotic — without the contact-info auction that defines the rest of the industry. We pre-qualify the brokers; you get the result.

How we're different

One quote, no resale. Your information stays with us and the single broker we route the shipment to. We don't share it with carrier networks, lead aggregators, or unrelated partners. The quote you get is firm at booking.

Pre-vetted broker network. Every broker partner we work with carries minimum $1M cargo coverage in primary, has cleared a multi-point qualification process (years operating, insurance verification, complaint review, equipment specs), and runs enclosed-only equipment for the shipments we route them.

Single point of contact. One specialist owns your shipment from quote through delivery. You have their direct number. No call-center queue, no routing through dispatch.

Transparent pricing. Our published rate bands match what brokers in our network actually charge. Quotes are firm at booking. The only adjustments come if your vehicle differs materially from what was disclosed — and that's flagged before pickup, never after.

Common vehicle profile: $100K+ value, low ground clearance, hand-finished or numbers-matching original, one-of-a-kind, or otherwise irreplaceable.

Citadel's leadership has 60+ years of combined experience in collector-vehicle logistics, auction transport, and enclosed-carrier operations. Our specialists average 8+ years in the field — most came up through carrier-side dispatch, restoration shops, or auction-house logistics teams. Everyone who quotes a Citadel shipment has been on a trailer.

Insurance and authority

Citadel itself is a marketing service and does not hold motor carrier authority or arrange transportation directly. The brokers in our partner network are independently FMCSA-licensed and carry their own primary cargo insurance — typically $1M+ for the high-value shipments we coordinate. We additionally connect customers with collector-vehicle gap coverage through specialty insurers (Hagerty, Grundy, Chubb) for vehicles where standard cargo coverage is inadequate to declared value.

For ultra-rare and concours-condition vehicles ($1M+ declared value), we arrange single-car enclosed transport with manufacturer-aware handling and fine-art-grade supplemental coverage. Coverage details for any specific shipment are available on request before booking.

Service area

The Citadel network covers the continental United States, with high-frequency partner capacity between every major metro and concentrated specialist coverage around collector-vehicle hubs (Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Phoenix-Scottsdale, Indianapolis, Pebble Beach). International transport is available through partner freight forwarders for export to UK, EU, Middle East, and Asia.
