Do different vehicle classes have different insurance requirements?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Exotic and hypercar shipments require a minimum of $500K–$1M+ in cargo coverage. Luxury vehicles typically need $250K–$500K. Classic vehicles are covered based on appraised value. We confirm the carrier's coverage limit matches or exceeds your vehicle's value before every dispatch.

What is the per-mile cost for exotic vs. luxury vehicles?

Accepted Answer

Exotics run $2.10–$3.80 per mile on enclosed (higher for hypercars and ultra-rare vehicles). Luxury vehicles run $1.80–$3.20 per mile. Classics run $1.90–$3.40 per mile. EVs run $1.50–$2.40 per mile. Distance band and booking timing modify these rates — short hauls cost more per mile than long hauls due to fixed carrier costs.

Does a classic car need special handling compared to a modern exotic?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Classics often have aged rubber seals, original paint that can't be matched by modern body shops, and mechanical states that range from fully restored to non-running. They also may be partially disassembled. Classic transport uses soft tie-downs, liftgate loading, and winching for non-runners — and documentation of condition is especially important given the irreplaceable nature of original materials.
