Methodology. Rates shown are 2026 carrier rate bands for enclosed transport at standard booking (7–14 days notice), based on per-mile pricing adjusted for corridor distance, vehicle class, and booking urgency. Actual quotes depend on vehicle dimensions, pickup/delivery access, and real-time carrier availability. All figures are pre-tax and exclusive of origin/destination terminal fees where applicable.
How booking window affects price
Carrier availability tightens as pickup date approaches. Booking further in advance — especially on seasonal corridors — locks in standard rates before demand pricing applies.
| Booking window | Rate multiplier | Example: $3,000 base |
|---|---|---|
| Flexible — 14+ days notice | 0.92× | $2,760Best rate |
| Standard — 7–14 days notice | 1.00× | $3,000Baseline |
| Rush — under 7 days | 1.20× | $3,600+$600 vs. standard |

Auction & Concours Corridors
Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale (January), Mecum Indianapolis (May), Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance (August), and Amelia Island Concours (March) compress carrier availability in the 10 days post-auction. Outbound rates spike 25–40% on these lanes immediately after the event. Pre-auction inbound rates are more competitive — book early.

Exotic Relocation Lanes
High-frequency enclosed corridors for exotic and high-performance vehicles. The LA–Miami and NY–LA lanes are the two highest-volume exotic transport routes in the U.S., with daily carrier availability and competitive pricing year-round. Multiple enclosed operators compete on these lanes, which keeps pricing more stable than thin specialty corridors.
| Corridor | Miles | Transit | Exoticstandard booking | Luxurystandard booking | Classicstandard booking |

Collector & Short-Haul Lanes
Short-haul routes (under 500 miles) carry a higher per-mile rate due to fixed carrier costs, but total cost is lower. Intra-Florida collector corridors and California short-hauls are high-frequency and often feasible for same-day or next-day pickup. Classic and antique vehicles on these corridors frequently require winching for non-running cars.

Major Cross-Country Routes
High-volume trunk routes with consistent carrier availability year-round. These lanes connect major population centers and typically offer the most competitive per-mile rates due to dense carrier networks. Flexible booking (14+ days) on these corridors can save 8–12% versus last-minute bookings.

Base per-mile rates by vehicle class
Per-mile rates adjust for corridor distance — short hauls cost more per mile because fixed carrier costs spread across fewer miles. Rates below reflect long-haul corridors (1,500+ miles) at standard booking.
| Vehicle class | Examples | Long-haul/mi1,500+ miles | Mid-haul/mi500–1,500 mi | Short-haul/miUnder 500 mi |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Exotic | Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, Bugatti | $1.93–$3.50 | $2.10–$3.80 | $2.52–$4.56 |
| Luxury | Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Aston Martin | $1.66–$2.94 | $1.80–$3.20 | $2.16–$3.84 |
| Classic | Pre-1990 collectibles, antiques | $1.75–$3.13 | $1.90–$3.40 | $2.28–$4.08 |
| Electric | Tesla, Rivian, Lucid, Polestar | $1.38–$2.21 | $1.50–$2.40 | $1.80–$2.88 |
Short-haul rate premium reflects fixed carrier costs (fuel, driver time, dispatch) amortized over fewer miles. All rates enclosed trailer, standard booking window.
